Our Lodge is the perfect place to stay for guests that prefer nature, birdlife, wildlife and the calming/relaxing effect of the forest adjacent to the Lodge, away from the hustle and bustle of the town.
Our Lodge is located close to the beach and the town centre, being approximately 800 to 900 metres away from the beach and the town centre.
Leopard Tree Lodge has the perfect location in our beautiful St Lucia, located in Sandpiper Street (street closest to the beach), down the road of our sister Lodge, Leopard Corner Lodge (4 Star Luxury Bed & Breakfast Lodge).
Both these Lodges are fortunate to be located in the street closest to the beach, within hearing distance of the ocean, and on the edge of the forest surrounding St Lucia, which allows wildlife experiences that very few other lodges offer.
When the Lodge’s cycads are in bloom, it is common to see the many species of birds that come to feed on the variety of red seeds. St Lucia has the largest number of different bird species found together, in one place, out of the entire continent of Africa and our lush grass terrace, overlooking the forest, allows for amazing bird sightings.
St Lucia is the gateway to the iSimangaliso Wetlands Park, South Africa’s first & oldest Heritage Site, established on 03 December 1999.
The Umfolozi/Hluhluwe Game Reserve (2nd biggest Game Reserve in South Africa), is just one (1) hour drive away from the Lodge.
