WELCOME TO LEOPARD TREE LODGE

Upon arrival at Leopard Tree Lodge, the Lodge Manager will receive, welcome and introduce guests to our Lodge.

Guests will be provided with a map of the iSimangaliso Wetlands Park, St Lucia Town, as well as the Eastern Shores and the Western Shores Game Reserves that form part of the Park. The Lodge Manager will gladly explain to our guests all the tours/activities/excursions that are available in and around St Lucia, operated by various tour operators in our town. Guests will have the opportunity to book these tours/activities/excursions directly with the Lodge Manager at reception.

All 10 our Apartments have fully equipped kitchens, private entrances, undercover balcony/patio seating areas, free safe & secure private parking, aircons, ceiling/portable fans, wall-mounted safes, emergency lights, hairdryers, free Wifi/Internet, flat screen Smart TV’s and DSTV. All our Apartments are no-smoking Apartments, but smoking is allowed at the undercover balcony/patio/seating area of each Apartment.

Although we are a Self-catering Lodge, we supply the following to our guests free of charge:

* Daily complimentary items: Chocolates, bottled filtered water, coffee, tea’s, brown and white sugar, sweetener, rusks, milk and milk powder per person.

* Daily services: Cleaning services, fresh bath towels, garbage bags, sanitary bags, toilet paper, dishwashing liquid, handwash, hand cream, shower gel, shampoo/conditioner and shower caps.

IMPORTANT ACCOMMODATION INFORMATION:

Guest Identification:

Our Lodge requires that one person, per apartment, per stay, produces a valid identification card or passport to reception for copying purposes.

Cancelation Policy:

Please note that a our Lodge operates on a 21 days cancelation policy. This implies that no refunds will be effected if a reservation is canceled within 21 days prior to arrival. Furthermore, please note that a 5% refund fee will be charged pertaining to any cancelation refunds to be made by the Lodge. This fee is to cover the bank transaction costs the Lodge incurs when processing and refunding payments received from guests.

Lodge Policies:

Check-in time at our Lodge is between 14:00 pm & 19:00 pm

Check-out time at our Lodge is between 07:00 am & 10:00 am

NO CHECK-IN AFTER 21:00 PM AS THE RECEPTION WILL BE CLOSED AND NOBODY WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE LODGE TO HELP YOU WITH CHECK-IN (UNLESS PRIOR ARRANGEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE WITH OUR LODGE MANAGER).

• At Check-in, our Lodge requires that one person, per room, per stay, produces a valid identification card or passport to reception for copying purposes.

• No Lodge bathroom towels will be allowed at the Lodge’s pool area and/or to be taken to the beach. However, beach/swimming towels are available at the Lodge’s reception, but since these are items often not returned by some of our guests, the Lodge now requires R150.00 cash deposit for each towel issued. This deposit is refunded when the towel is returned to reception.

• To ensure a satisfactory level of service, we ask that you please have your room ready and available for the housekeeping ladies to start cleaning by 10:00am at the latest, if possible.

• Quiet hours are between 22:00 pm and 7:00 am. No parties/events and loud noise are allowed between 22:00 pm and 7:00 am. Leopard Tree Lodge is a serene establishment, hosting guests that want to have a peaceful and relaxing stay. Please always be considerate towards our other guests and our neighbors.

• Only guests that have booked with us and paid for accommodation at Leopard Tree Lodge will be allowed on the property, since limited parking is available. Non-residents taking up the parking spaces of our other guests is upsetting to our other guests and causes inconvenience towards them. Non-residents will only be allowed to “visit” our Lodge with the owner’s personal permission. If non-residents are found on the property, the Lodge Manager has the right to request such individuals to vacate and leave the property immediately. Right of admission always remains reserved.

• Pets are not allowed.

• All rooms are NON-SMOKING rooms. Please smoke outside on the patio/balcony or at the other designated smoking areas. A R500 fine will be imposed for smoking inside the rooms.

• Extinguishing of cigarettes butts in the plant pots or garden beds is likewise not permitted, you should instead dispose of them in the ashtrays provided.

• No children allowed at the swimming pool without parental supervision.

• For safety reasons – no alcohol, glass bottles, glasses or food are allowed inside the swimming pool.

• Guests are always fully responsible for the safety and security of their children, as well as any disturbance that might be caused to other guests at the Lodge.

• Only 1 vehicle is allowed per room and is parked at your own risk. Please consider other guests parking needs when parking since parking space is limited. Please park straight in your parking bay in order for other guests not to struggle with parking their vehicles.

• No illegal substances are allowed on the premises.

• For your safety as well as the other guests, do not leave any food behind in the communal braai area as this will encourage the monkeys to come forage. Leaving any type of food in the open is a safety and health risk.

• Please do not flush any sanitary products down the toilet. We provided a bin for this in each bathroom.

• Air conditioners, fans, televisions and lights should please be switched off if the room is not occupied.

• Please make sure that gate closes behind you after entering or leaving the premises.

• Please be sure to report any breakages to us so that we can replace the item/s for the next guests to enjoy.

• One remote control and set of keys is provided per unit. Take extra care of your keys. Lost keys incur a R650.00 replacement fee.

• In the event that there are any damages to the property or its contents, or something goes missing, the individual responsible for the booking will be held liable.

• We regret, no refunds on early departure.

• Please always take our other guests into consideration.

• If any of the conditions above are not adhered to, the Lodge Manager will warn the guests. If the guests still do not adhere to the conditions, the manager has full right to request the guests to leave the property.

Insect Repellent:

Please remember to bring your own insect repellent when visiting our Lodge.

Laundromat Facilities/Laundry Services:

St. Lucia Town features a laundromat where guests can conveniently do their own laundry.

Alternatively, laundry services are available through reception. We have partnered with an external contractor who will collect and wash your laundry for a fee.
